FG & Cook is a mortgage and protection brokerage with something rare at its heart. We've got more than 50 years of frontline mortgage market experience, in-house chartered surveying expertise, deep lender relationships and a team that knows how to find solutions when the straightforward route isn't available.
We were built on the belief that every client deserves proper, personal advice. That means taking the time to understand your situation, knowing which lenders will consider your circumstances, and staying with you from the first conversation right through to completion and beyond.

FG & Cook Financial Services is a mortgage and protection brokerage with deep roots in both property and finance. We combine technical expertise and client-focused service to deliver the best outcome for the requirements of our clients.
Our Chief Mortgage & Protection Broker Jason Cook, CeMAP leads our team of mortgage professionals. He began his career with NatWest in 1986, eventually managing the bank's mortgage training programme for more than 100 mortgage-qualified staff in their Greater London area (inside the M25).
Over several decades, Jason has helped thousands of clients secure the right mortgages and protection products.
Behind Jason is a team of experienced advisers, each committed to providing a personal service focused on your long-term financial wellbeing.
What We Do
FG & Cook offers expert mortgage and protection advice across the full range of residential, remortgage, buy-to-let and specialist lending. With access to thousands of products across the market, we work with first-time buyers, home movers, landlords, investors and clients whose circumstances don't fit the standard mould.
That last group is where our experience really counts. If your income is complex, your credit history has a few bumps, or the property you want doesn't meet standard lending criteria, we have the knowledge and the lender relationships to find a route through.
Whatever your situation, our job is simple: find you the right mortgage, not just any mortgage.

Most mortgage brokers understand the financial side of your application. We understand the property behind it, too. Our directors include RICS-qualified chartered surveyors, and that changes what we can do for you when things get complicated.
Our in-house surveying expertise allows us to:

- Support you if retentions are imposed due to property condition or valuation issues.
- Advise when the lender's survey highlights defects, or where the property falls outside standard lending criteria.
